    Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Scientist position in the laboratory of Dr Juliette Fedry at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB). The role is to work within a programme aimed at understanding the molecular basis of cellular proteostasis, developing novel structural cell biology methods. Specifically, to undertake research to investigate the in cell structure and organization of proteostasis related macromolecular complexes in health and diseases and/or developing methodology to achieve these goals.

    We are looking for a Postdoctoral Scientist for our 3-year Career Development Fellowship/ Postdoctoral Training Scheme. This is a training and development position suitable for you if you have recently completed your doctoral studies, or you are looking to move into a new research discipline and/or need to further develop your research skills. Working with our world class scientists you will be working in an Institute renowned for its excellent scientific facilities and high-quality research.

    You should have a PhD in a relevant subject or be due to complete a PhD within 6 months. Previous experience in one or more of the following areas is essential for the envisioned project: mammalian cell culture and related techniques; research in the field of proteostasis, confocal microscopy; electron microscopy for intracellular studies; cryo-EM/ET sample preparation and image analysis, or algorithm development and bioinformatics.
