The NC3Rs, the UK’s national organization for the 3Rs (Replacement, Reduction, and Refinement), was established in 2004 to accelerate the development and adoption of new models and tools that minimize the use of animals in research and testing. With an annual budget of approximately £10 million, the NC3Rs is primarily funded by the government.
