Position of adiunkt/PostDoc (a group of science positions) in the M-ERA.NET 3 Call 2023 project entitled “Light Weight High Entropy Alloys for Safe and Sustainable Energy Storage" financed by National Science Centre is open for application. Project leader: dr hab. Wojciech Sławiński, Associate Prof.
We are looking for motivated candidates:
* PhD degree in chemistry, physics or related sciences (required in the first day of work at the latest) and obtained not earlier than 7 years before the year of employment in the project (according to NCN rules)
* good knowledge on English
* experience in preparation, collection and analysis of diffraction data taken from powder diffraction experiment, in particular by using Pair Distribution Function method, EXAFS or Anomalous Diffraction
* ability to work a as team member
* programming skills (C++, Fotran)
The candidate must meet the requirements of art. 113 of the Act - Law on Higher Education and Science dated July 20, 2018 (Polish Journal of Laws of 2023, no. 742 as amended).
Main duties:
* performing powder diffraction experiment by using laboratory and synchrotron radiation sources
* analysis of experimental data, especially Pair Distribution Function
* code development of existing computer programs
* cooperation with international team members
We offer:
A full time position; a temporary contract of employment at the University of Warsaw (Poland) for 2 years with possibility of extension.
