An opportunity is available for a Postdoctoral Scientist to join the group of Dr Jing Ren at the MRC LMB (Cambridge, U.K.) to lead a programme on developing a new strategy in Parkinson’s treatment. Specifically, within a programme to transform serotonin neurons to synthesise and co-release dopamine and restore dopamine levels in the brain irrespective of disease progression. The candidate will play a major role in the work of the research group, through the conduct of research, introduction of new ideas, dissemination of research results, support and training of others.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who will thrive in a friendly and supportive group. Candidates must hold a PhD degree in neuroscience. Animal surgery skills and rodent behavioural study skills are required. Candidates must hold a valid PIL for animal research in the UK.
