Postdoctoral Research Opportunity at iHEALTH Center - SANTIAGO-CHILE
The iHEALTH Center invites talented researchers to join its cutting-edge research team in the fields of medical imaging, artificial intelligence (AI), and related disciplines. This postdoctoral position provides a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative projects that advance healthcare technologies.
1-Position Overview
We are seeking candidates with a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Physics, Computer Science, or closely related fields. Applicants should have proven expertise in medical imaging, AI, or the development of AI tools for healthcare applications. Proficiency in English is highly recommended for effective collaboration within our international and multidisciplinary team.
2-Research Areas
The selected candidate will contribute to one or more of the following focus areas:
a-Medical Imaging Technologies for Early and Non-Invasive Disease Diagnosis
Develop AI-integrated methods to enhance medical imaging technologies, such as MRI, CT, and ultrasound, improving precision, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in disease diagnosis.
b- Inverse Problems in Medical Image Reconstruction
Innovate methods to reduce scan times and enhance image quality by addressing inverse problems in medical imaging.
Focus on faster and low-radiation diagnostic solutions to improve patient outcomes.
c- Physics-Informed AI for Imaging and Diagnosis
Design AI solutions combining data-driven and physics-based models to optimize image acquisition, processing, and diagnostic accuracy.
d- Explainable and Reliable AI Models Integrating Clinical Data
Create interpretable AI tools that integrate medical imaging with other patient data sources, such as electronic health records (EHRs) and physiological sensors, to deliver accurate and reliable clinical insights.
e- Biomarkers for Disease Diagnosis and Characterization
Develop advanced biomarkers leveraging imaging and physiological sensors to enable early diagnosis and characterization of diseases, including cardiovascular conditions, liver diseases, and cancers.
3- Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
A Ph.D. in AI, Medical Imaging, Medical Physics, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in medical imaging technologies or AI applications for healthcare.
4- Benefits
iHEALTH offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
-Full-time contract (40 hours per week) for one year, with potential for extension based on performance and funding.
-Gross monthly salary of approximately $2,000 USD (equivalent to $2,000,000 CLP).
