The appointment will be full time on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £33,353 - £40,313 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
We are looking for a Research Associate who will participate as a member of a research team. The primary responsibility of the post holder will be to develop and evaluate data analysis algorithms including clinical validation of developed methods and to assist in technical aspects of clinical trials that utilize nuclear medicine imaging. The post-holder will also assist with support of the research computing infrastructure. This is a post for an enthusiastic research-oriented scientist is required to join the research team at UCL to work on development of image analysis algorithms and to support ongoing clinical research using SPECT, SPECT/CT, PET/CT and PET/MRI.
This post is funded for 2 years in the first instance.
Applicants must hold a good first degree in engineering, computer science, physics or equivalent (2:1 or higher) and a PhD or doctoral thesis near completion/submission in medical physics, medical image analysis or related area including substantial elements of data processing.
An MSc in a related field e.g. Medical Image Processing or Medical Physics is desirable.
