    Additional info: 4 month fixed term contract due to limited funding

    Applications are invited for a fixed term position to perform synthetic inorganic chemistry research work on an exciting project which aims to explore bonding and catalytic properties in precious metal stibine and phosphine cluster complexes.

    The successful candidate will have a good degree at B.Chem (Hons) / B.Sc. (Hons) or at M.Chem / M.Sci. (or an equivalent degree level qualification), plus a postgraduate level Masters (MSc., or MRes.), or preferably a Ph.D. qualification in Chemistry or a closely related discipline. Relevant expertise in research techniques and methods, and experience of developing methods for data collection, analysis and interpretation are essential. The successful candidate should also have excellent I.T. and advanced communication skills, and have the ability to show initiative and work effectively and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research team.

    Due to the funding conditions the successful candidate should ideally be available to start work by 1 April 2016.
